Kindle Fire vs Nook Color

The Kindle Fire is hitting the tablet market by storm. The closest competitor as far as similarities goes is the Barnes and Noble Nook Color. Both are focused on reading books and multi-media entertainment.

But which is right for you, the Amazon Kindle Fire or the Nook Color?

Really, it comes down to where you prefer buying your digital books from. Amazon is the more popular option, which makes it the most convention choice for many.  As far as size goes, they are very similar as they are both 7-inch tablets that use very customized versions of Android, and they both come with 8GB of internal storage. They also both have 8-hour battery life too. One feature that the Nook Color has is a micro SD slot and the Kindle Fire has no media slots.

Both the Kindle Fire and the Nook Color offer a HUGE selection of books, magazines, newspapers and even books for kids. However, Amazon offers a ton of TV, movies and music too.

Another factor to consider is price. The Amazon Kindle Fire is $199 and the Barnes and Noble Nook Color is $249.

So, from there, we will leave the decision in your hands on which tablet you would prefer. We believe that the Amazon Kindle Fire will far out sell the Nook Color and that the Nook Colors market will be limited to the hard core Barnes and Noble shoppers.
